The word evangelical is at the same time one of the most commonly used words in the field of religion here on the Vine while also being the most misunderstood by Christians and non-Christians alike.
I personally have just about given up using the word as having any recognizable meaning in the age of the internet. Then I read something like this that reminds me that we simply can't dismiss the various strands that make up this reality in the Christian history of the past 400 years.
